The Benefits To Using Power Dialers

A power dialer can increase the number of numbers dialed by an inside sales department by as much as four times over manual dialing! These telephony tools are designed to help sales reps make up to three hundred dials in a day (though some companies report having reps exceeding 350 dials.)

First, a power dialer loads the leads and contacts into its system, and then it calls through that list one number at a time. The sales rep using the power dialer is called first, and then a call is placed to the lead. These calls are bridged together, and the sales call begins. Power dialers use built in “power tools” to automate many of the mundane sales tasks, optimizing the whole call. This makes a power dialer much more effective than click-to-dial technology (which rarely actually increases productivity).

A power dialer places two calls, one to the sales rep and one to the sales lead. After this first call, however, the sales rep stays connected to the dialer system until he chooses to disconnect. New calls will be automatically routed through to the sales rep. After a disconnection, the sales rep only needs to sign back into a dialer, answer the call from it, and he is once again ready to start making calls.

There are many benefits to using power dialers.

One benefit is the increase in sales and generated leads brought about by dialer automation. Users of power dialer technology often report that they are able to accomplish 8 hours of manual dialing work in just 2 hours. The power dialer also increases sales by giving each lead individualized attention, and is especially suited for complex B2B sales.

Power dialers increase the quality and quantity of the voice messages. Pre-recorded messages are left in the sales reps own voice by the power dialer. This carefully scripted voice messages improve conversion over ad-libbed messages, and the power dialer saves time for the sales rep that is able to move onto a new call.

A power dialer can also send email or fax messages from the dialer platform while the sales rep is still on the line with the lead. This saves even more time. These messages are saved in and sent from a library of pre-written messages. By standardizing a dialing and messaging approach the chances of a successful sale increases for each dial and quality control can be assured.

The telephony solutions that a power dialer offers streamline how a remote sales department works. With such a boost in productivity, a power dialer easily pays for itself.

If your business makes outbound calls to potential clients, you could use a power dialer. By having a dialer, your call numbers go up and close more sales. Then your company will grow much faster.
