If you are the connected type, the blackberry storm is the “connection king” with class. This smartphone can handle up to ten email accounts. You can sort them out or choose to have them land in one big inbox. It is your choice. The storm can use just about any email program you can think of. This storm also has many instant messenger services already included, such as the blackberry messenger, AIM, ICQ and others. With the text system you can also send picture messages. The texting is easy with the screen in the landscape mode. You can probably do it with one hand.
The network connectivity of the blackberry storm is no slouch. The storm has the ability to connect with CDMA, GSM, WCDMA, GPS, bluetooth, 3G, Ev-DO, but not Wi-fi. This lack of Wi-fi makes the storm a bit disappointing, but the other features make up for it. The 3G is fast enough to do most things you would normally use Wi-fi for anyway.
You will be pleased as far as looks go for the blackberry storm. It is silver and black and downright sleek looking. It is similar to other blackberries. The storm is a bit thicker than the iphone at just barely over half an inch (or 14 millimeters ). It will fit in your pocket easily. The screen of course looks great and the outside trim is attractive.
The blackberry storm comes with ample memory. This smartphone has one gigabyte of onboard memory and a microSD slot to boost that many times over. MicroSD technology is improving but for now you can get them with up to sixteen gigabytes. That is plenty enough unless you want to save a lot of videos. Yes, the blackberry storm does have video capability.
Overall the blackberry storm is a great alternative to the iphone. It is mostly a matter of taste on which model you choose because the blackberry storm has some stronger benefits than an iphone. The blackberry has the clickable screen and better connectivity. The storm has a better camera than the iphone. As usual, the world is full of hard choices.
