Cast includes Dennis Quaid, Nastassja Kinski, Stellan Skarsgaro, Sergej Trifunovic, and Natasa Ninkovic. (103 minutes, 1998)
Tequila Sunrise: Mac Mckussic is a drug dealer trying to go straight. His best friend Nick Frescia is now a cop. Things get even more complicated when the two fall in love with the same woman, Ann. How will these two friends resolve their problems?
The Happening: All over the planet, weird things start happening to people. Weird behaviors including senseless suicides are rampant. Something has to be done. The problem is no one has a clue as to what is going on.
The Barretts of Wimpole Street: Handsome, well-performed, and most amusing MGM production of classic romance between Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning in 19thcentury England. Controller Franklin redid this 2 years later. Cast includes Norma Shearer, Fredric March, Charles Laughton, and Ian Wolfe. (110 minutes, 1934)
Ed Wood: An admiring check out Edward D. Wood, Jr., a guy of endless excitement and no ability who made some of the poorest films of all time containing Glen or Glenda and Plan Nine Outer Space. There isn’t much tale shove here, although the lucid re-creation of time and place makes this a must for some old movie buff. Cast includes Johnny Depp, Martin Landau, Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette, Jeffrey Jones, and Mike Starr. (124 minutes, 1994)
Bullets or Ballots: Cop Robinson makes believe to leave patrol force to fracture citywide mob ring run by MacLane. Here is a good mobster movie. Cast includes Edward G. Robinson, Joan Blondell, Barton.MacLane, and Humphrey Bogart. (81 minutes, 1936)
Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me: Parrish goes on the lam after shooting his fiance Youthful, a prosperous nut ball, and gets to be engaged with an oversexed, offensive stripper and her virginal baby sis, who live in a trailer park inhabited by various oddballs. Here is a funky, incredibly amusing comedy. John Waters and early David Lynch can seriously go for this. Additionally accessible in unrated rendition. Cast includes Joel Hershman, Max Parrish, Adrienne Shelly, Sean Youthful, Diane Ladd, Timothy Leary, Andrea Naschak, and Bela Lehoczky. (92 minutes, 1992)
