The TX-P46G10 is one of many new plasma TVs that have been launched by major TV manufacturers over the last few years. Many plasma TVs have issues like poor picture quality and they are useless for video games. How does the Panasonic TX-PG46G10 stack up in these categories?
There have been mixed reviews of Panasonic’s previous TV sets including the plasma versions and the flat screen. Panasonic released a large number of new television sets this year and the TX-P46G10 was one of the better ones of the year from Panasonic or any brand.
Panasonic decided after the release of their first plasma televisions to redesign the product in an effort to improve the picture quality. The new Panasonic TX-P46G10 is actually more energy efficient than earlier models and the picture looks clearer. Motion looks better on this model compared to other plasma models that leave tracers when objects on the screen move. This can be quite distracting and it is an issue that Panasonic has managed to fix.
Panasonic has managed to make these improvements to energy efficiency without diminishing the picture or sound quality of the TV set. The picture and sound quality actually improved noticeably in this model. The Panasonic Viera TX-P46G10 actually has the best picture and sound quality of any of its predecessors.
Despite the vastly improved picture quality and quicker screen motion, the Panasonic TX-P46G10 may still not be the TV for video game play. There can still be a minimal amount of flickering on the screen although this issue has been largely resolved compared to previous plasma television sets from all manufacturers.
The Panasonic TX-P46G10 is priced between 650 and 800 pounds in most cases. Comparable plasma television sets are priced anywhere from 800 pounds upwards. All plasma television sets have similar issues with picture and motion quality.
The Panasonic Viera TX-P46G10 has made strides toward greener technology and proven that a TV can be both cool and responsible at the same time. The fact that this model consumes half the energy that previous models consume implies that upgrading from an older plasma to this new model may save money in the long run. All technology manufacturers should follow Panasonic’s lead in finding ways to improve the technology while decreasing energy consumption at the same time.
When comparing this model to others like it, it becomes clear that the TX-P46G10 is one of the best choices out there for the money. With the energy efficiency, HD compatibility, memory card slots, and vastly improved picture quality this television would still be worth it at a higher price. Do not simply take my word for it though; the best thing to do when shopping for a new television is to go into the store and watch some television. Seeing the picture quality and hearing the sound quality yourself is the best way to decide which new television set is right for you.
